Instead he's pulling away. If you were the right woman for him he'd be moving heaven & earth to be with you; he's be excited to live together & to start a family. This relationship stopped working for him. You have to let him go. I can't tell you why but you need to understand that he's done.

There are HPs that make me wonder how they got there but I just accept that tastes vary and keep it to myself. If she's HP, she was voted enough to be. She looks perfect to me.

From my point of view we had a wonderful relationship except for the few quirks here and there that everyone has. He says he loves me and he is not ready for our relationship to be over. My problem starts here. In February he "fell in love" with his boss for a brief time and she responded in turn. We had hopes and dreams for our future. He says he has ruined everyones life....that he doesn't have the strength and energy and knowledge to work on our relationship...etc etc. I've tried all that I know to try. He seems to do nothing to help our relationship. I am in a 10+ year relationship with the man who I thought was my life partner. I have purchased and worked the 'Relationship Rescue' book by Dr. Almost 11 years is a long time...My heart is breaking. Does anyone have any advise? I love this man so very much and I know that if he put one foot in front of the other we could work through this but he seems so unwilling. We have gone to counseling (Briefly because he disagreed with everything that she said) He has gone to counseling separate from me. He is getting nasty with me now and doesn't give me the time of day, no affection whatsoever....blah blah blah..NOW-he wants "time and space" I am so terrified. They shared a hug and kiss...and she shortly returned to her husband. We have shared so many wonderful things and trying times as well. He wallows in self pity and has become a martyr. I'll listen. I have heard them on the phone together and there is nothing there. Phil. (BTW-He is a therapist himself) He is taking anti-depressants. He continues to work in the same office with her but I truly believe there is nothing going on other than friendship.

But there's more worrying insights with each post. So as a guy with a female friend, if I sensed a social occasion with her seemed or could appear slightly datey or more than friends - the very first thing I'd do if it certainly WAS NOT that, would be to convey that to my partner. It sounds like your half trying to convince yourself here.
